The Siegfried Railroad Station, home of the Northampton Area Historical Society, willl be open to visitors 1-4 p.m. Sunday, June 16.
The station is located on West 21st Street (Route 329) in Northampton.
The station houses a museum of artifacts from the Northampton area. Along with permanent displays are special exhibits. These include R.A. Smith Milling Company memorabilia and items from the borough's centennial.
Admission is free but donations are accepted for the ongoing restoration project. Membership in the society is also encouraged.

The Atlas Cement Company Memorial Museum, 1401 Laubach Ave., is open to the public on the second and fourth Sunday of each month through September.
Hours are 1-3 p.m.

The Northampton Area Public Library is also launching a Teen Summer Literacy Challenge with weekly prizes and programs.
This program, made possible in part by a grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, is free and open to ages 12-18.
The challenge begins July 2 and ends Aug. 8. It consists of three parts: the literacy log, the book discussions and the weekly programs. Participants can choose which discussions or events to attend, all or some.
The grand prize is a Kindle Fire.
The book discussions will be held Mondays at 1 p.m. and the programs take place Thursdays at 2 p.m. The library provides the books and the teens provide their point of view.

The Northampton Memorial Community Center, 16th Street and Laubach Avenue, hosts bingo every Monday night. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the games begin at 7 p.m.
The kitchen is open.
Proceeds benefit the Northampton Recreation Center.
