Police respond to disruption at Giant
Coplay police were summoned shortly after 8 p.m. June 9 to Giant Food at Cherry and Chestnut streets.
Police said they received a report of two men, possibly intoxicated and in their 20s, riding around the market on electric handicap carts.
Police were told the pair was running into patrons with the moving carts.
Store personnel ordered the men to leave the store and they did so before police arrived.
Underage drinking reported June 4
Borough police received a complaint about a group of juveniles drinking and throwing rocks on the Ironton Rail-Trail.
The call came in 6:35 p.m. June 4, police said. The youth were reportedly near the trestle off South Front Street at the Lehigh River.
Patrol officers responded, but were unable to locate the juveniles, police said.
Thief takes iPod
A resident of the 200 block of South Front Street reported the theft of an iPod June 5.
The victim told police sometime overnight, someone entered his unlocked 1998 Chevrolet Malibu and stole the iPod valued at $150, police said.
