Alvin A. Danner Jr., 80, of Northampton, died June 9, 2013, at ManorCare Nursing and Rehab Center, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Evelyn E. (Borger) Danner for 56 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Alvin A. Sr. and Carrie (Ervin) Shutters.

He was a U.S Air Force veteran, achieving the rank of airman second class, serving in the South Pacific.

He owned and operated Alvin's Oil Burner Service, Northampton, until he retired in 1999. He worked previously for Town and Country Oil Burner Company, Cementon.

He was a member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kreidersville.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Ann M. and her husband Rockie Scarl of Whitehall; two sons, Thomas C. and his wife Victoria Huggan of Allentown and Jerry A. of Camp Hill; four grandchildren, Cindy, Thomas Jr., Rockie Jr. and April; and five great-grandchildren.
