Mary L. Hunsicker, 84, of Allentown, died June 5, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of the late Lewis E. Hunsicker Jr., who died in 1998. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Willard W. and Perma R. (Kern) Christman.

Along with her husband, she owned and operated, Lewis E. Hunsicker Jr. Excavating, Allentown, for 60 years. In her younger years, she taught elementary school in Allentown.

She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown.

She graduated from West Chester Teacher's College in 1950.

She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Macungie Fire Company and belonged to the Allentown Senior Citizen's group.

She is survived by sons, Robert L. of Mertztown; Larry W. of Allentown; Richard A. and his wife Vicki of Allentown; daughters, Linda J. Palmer of Allentown; Bonnie L. Schreiber of Zionsville; sister, Ruth M. and her husband David J. Weidner of Allentown; grandchildren, Stephanie, Eric, Amy, Jacob, Kyle and Amber; three great-grandchildren.
