Jennie Irene Williams

Jennie Irene (Kline) Williams, 100, longtime resident of Emmaus and beloved aunt, died June 7, 2013, in her home, with homecare provided by her great-niece, Janelle. She was the wife of the late Albert (Nun) Williams, who died Aug. 10, 2000. Born in Vera Cruz, she was a daughter of Harrison and Katie C. (Frey) Kline.

She was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville and an associate member of Grace Church at the Lutheran Home, Topton.

Born on a farm in Vera Cruz, she worked with her parents until marrying hired hand, Albert Williams. The couple later moved to Emmaus, both working in silk mills and knitting mills. She later worked for a specialty knitting mill in Perkasie where she proudly made "perfect" artificial veins and wiring harness for aircrafts.

She was an avid rose lover.

She is survived by nephews, Larry E. Ackerman and his wife Lucille, of Zionsville, and Charles L. Ackerman and his wife Marilyn, of Fleetwood; great-nephews, Lee Ackerman of Powhatan, Va., James Ackerman of Narvon, Lyle Ackerman of Zionsville; great-nieces, Janelle Ackerman-Yerkes, Lynette Heminitz, both of Emmaus. She was predeceased by sisters, Verna Wagner, Marie Schantz, Florence Ackerman; brothers, Paul Kline, Edwin Kline, Marcus Kline and Harry Kline; niece, Eileen Lahr.

Contributions may be made to VNA of Pottstown Hospice and Homecare, 1963 E. High St., Pottstown, 19464 and the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1251 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown, 18103.

A memorial service and gravesite service will be held 2 p.m. on her 101st birthday, June 24, in Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville, calling hour 1:30 p.m. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
