The Whitehall Area Chamber of Commerce will host a special event to honor local hero Adam Keys next month.

Keys, who lost several limbs in a roadside bomb while serving in Afghanistan, will be honored at the chamber's July membership luncheon, set for 11:45 a.m. Friday, July 12.

Members are asked to note that this event will take place on a Friday instead of the regular Thursday.

Wednesday, June 12 – 7:30 a.m., board of directors meeting at chamber conference room

Thursday, June 13 – 11:45 a.m., membership luncheon at Fellowship Community. Kristi Walsh, APPI Energy, will present "How To Save and Earn Energy Dollars."

Tuesday, June 18 – noon, WOW: Women of Whitehall networking luncheon at Morgan's Restaurant, 3079 Willow St.

Wednesday, June 19 – noon, lunch and learn in the chamber conference room. "OSHA: What Every Business Needs to Know" will be presented by Scott Altemose, TREFOIL Training & Technical Assistance. Chick-fil-A of the Lehigh Valley Mall will be providing lunch. Seating is limited and reservations are required.

Thursday, June 20 – 7:30 a.m., business forum at chamber conference room. This interactive group for anyone in business includes idea sharing, networking and problem solving. And it's free.

Saturday, June 22 – 10 a.m., Relay for Life: American Cancer Society 24-hour event at Whitehall High School. Opening ceremony at 10 a.m., "fight back" ceremony at 1 p.m. survivor and caregiver ceremony at 6 p.m. and luminaria ceremony at 9 p.m. Event concludes 10 a.m. Sunday, June 23.

Tuesday, June 25 – 3:30 p.m., community outreach committee at chamber conference room. If you are interested in being involved with events such as Relay for Life, Whitehall parade, Toys for Tots, Doggie Day and the Health and Wellness Fair, then this is the committee for you.

Tuesday, June 25 – 7:30 p.m. IronPigs night.

Thursday, June 27 – 1:30 p.m. "Welcome to Whitehall" bags assembled in the chamber conference room. Volunteers needed.

Saturday, June 29 – 10 a.m., fourth annual car show at the Whitehall Parkway. Cars, demonstrations, food and entertainment. Car registrations and display tables available now.

Wednesday, July 10 – 7:30 a.m. board of directors meeting at chamber conference room.
