For its 22nd annual season, The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival (PSF) has "extra added attractions" intended to enchant, enchance and enrich the theater-going experience. These include:
Prologues" prior to every performance of "Measure for Measure" and "Henry VIII," when PSF officials offer insights 45 minutes before curtain call in the theater.
Opening night, post-show champagne toasts for "Oklahoma!," June 14; "The 39 Steps," June 21; "The Importance of Being Earnest," July 12; "Measure for Measure," July 20; and "Henry VIII," July 25.
Talk-backs with actors after performances are "Oklahoma!" and "The 39 Steps," Thursdays (except previews); and "Measure for Measure," July 25; "The Importance of Being Earnest," Aug. 1; and "Henry VIII," Aug. 1.
Make a reservation for "Dinner with Dennis and Deb," following matinee performances when PSF Associate Artistic Director Dennis Razze and PSF Director of Development Deb Walter host themed dinners with behind-the-scenes views for "Oklahoma!," June 16; "The 39 Steps," June 23; and "The Importance of Being Earnest," July 21.
"Savoring Shakespeare" has a Shakespeare-inspired dinner and conversation with noted Shakespearean scholar June Schlueter, for "Henry VIII," Aug. 3 and 4.
"Shakespeare and Catholicism," presented by PSF and the Salesian Center, is a talk by author and professor, Joseph Pearce, 7 p.m. July 31.
