Purse stolen

A purse was taken from a parked car Sunday night in the unit block of North Fifth Street.

The owner told police the purse was taken from her 1998 Buick, which had been parked with the window open, police said.

Refuse containers reported stolen

A resident of the unit block of North Sixth Street reported the theft of six Rubbermaid garbage containers May 19.

The items were stolen sometime between 3 and 8 p.m. from the rear of the residence, police said.

Bicycles stolen

A resident of the 1200 block of Poplar Street reported the theft of two bicycles May 20.

Police said the bikes, valued at $20 each, were taken from under the steps of the apartment.
