Miriam Chaney, 70, of Macun-gie, died May 20, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, surrounded by her three children. She was the wife of the late Floyd Chaney for 48 years before his death in 2010. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Dora Lee McMillan.
She was a dedicated wife and mother who had a love for children that knew no limits. For many years she ran a daycare center from her home and also was a long serviced employee of the Little People Daycare Center in Bethlehem.
She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. She was an excellent cook and well known for her expertise in southern cooking.
She is survived by a son, Phillip of Easton; daughters, Kimberly of Macungie and Lisa of Coral Gables, Fla.; granddaughter, Monique; sister, Jenette Felder; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
Services are private. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Allentown.
