Irene K. Boyer, 91, of Emmaus, died May 22, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospice Inpatient Unit, Allentown. She was the wife of Bernard A. Boyer. They would have celebrated 67 years of marriage June 7. Born in Freeland, she was the daughter of the late John and Irene (Krupa) Katris.

She was a secretary at AR ULANS Real Estate, the Pentagon and the U.S. Embassy in Greece.

She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus.

She was an avid bowler at Emmaus and Mountainville Lanes.

She is survived by her husband; children, Michael A. and his wife Laurann of Allentown, Joseph A. of Center Valley; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Bill Katris. She was predeceased by sons, James A. and Thomas A.
