New artifacts

The Atlas Cement Memorial Museum has a new exhibit – 24 medallions of cement union recognition dating back to the 1930s that belonged to Roland Yudth, Nazareth, a pioneer in union organizing activities in the Lehigh Valley. These were donated to the museum by Yudth's son, James Yudth, Local 18, Nazareth, of the Essroc plant. Northampton Councilman Anthony (Tony) Pristash, right, owner of All Things Framed, made a handsome wood framed shadow box for the medallions, which Pristash presented to Ed Pany, borough councilman and Atlas Cement Museum curator, at the May 16 Northampton Borough Council meeting.
