Catherine I. Eddinger, 92, of Macungie, died May 6, 2013, in her son's residence. She was the wife of the late Harold Eddinger, who died in 2009. Previously she was married to the late John Peter Fritsch. Born in Minesite, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Ida Kline (Meck) Strauss.

She worked in the medical records department at Sacred Heart Hospital, retiring in 1984. Previously she was a hairdresser and also worked for the former General Seating Co. in Topton.

She was a life member of the Macungie Historical Society.

She is survived by a son, Peter V. Fritsch of Macungie; daughter, Margaret D. Beach of Millsboro, Del.; four grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Jesse Lee.
