The Red Cross Greater Lehigh Valley Chapter would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved in making the recent annual Cabaret and Cuisine fundraiser a huge success.

Just over $70,000 was raised to support the chapter's lifesaving programs and services such as disaster relief, health and human safety, blood services and service to the Armed Forces.

"It was a wonderful evening and a great start in my new role with the Red Cross," Regional Chief Executive Officer Peter M. Brown said. "Events like these are only possible with the efforts of dedicated volunteers and the generous financial support of our business sponsors, board and community members."

The event was held April 12 in Musikfest Café at ArtsQuest Center, Bethlehem.

Jane Stone of Highmark Blue Shield and David Kennedy of National Penn Bank served as honorary chairs of the event.

Desty Bonstein, vice president of Embassy Bank served as Cabaret Committee Chairwoman.

This year's theme was Caribbean Nights and offered food by local chefs; complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks; entertainment by DJ Freddie Frederick, Jr.; a silent and live auction; Rockin' Photobooth and games and prizes.
