'Deep Blue Destiny' prom, post-prom party May 11-12
Members of Parkland High School Class of 2013 will spend a memorable evening May 11 at their "Deep Blue Destiny" prom and post-prom party.
The prom will take place 6-11 p.m. at The Palace Center, 623 Hanover Ave., Allentown.
At 11:30 p.m. that night, the post prom party begins in the high school. Free shuttle service will be available from the high school parking lot to the Palace Center.
The fun continues until 5 a.m. the next morning, for the seniors and their guests.
From 11:30 p.m. until 2:30 a.m. May 12, students can share their musical talents at the Karaoke Sound Station or have their photos taken in the library and receive framed digital prints.
Temporary tattoo artists, caricature artists and massage therapists will have stations in the main hallway. There will be laser tag for all to play in the auxiliary gym, a photo booth will be set up in the cafeteria hallway and a Minute to Win It station will be in the auditorium lobby.
All these activities will be available until 3 a.m. Sunday.
DJ Wesley Works will entertain in the cafeteria, where a money cube also will be available.
There will be carnival games in the main hallway and a coffee house in the rotunda. The adrenaline rush obstacle course, gladiator wars, bungee run, wacky racers and more will be available in the main gym, until 5 a.m.
There will be roaming magic throughout the school from 1:30-2:30 a.m.
Hypnotist Steve Taubman will perform his interactive show 2:45-4:15 a.m. in the auditorium.
After an fun-filled night of music and games, a continental breakfast will be provided at 4 a.m. in the cafeteria, where food also will be provided throughout the entire evening. Closing out the post-prom party, seniors will have a chance to win prizes during the grand prize drawings at 4:30 a.m. in cafeteria.
