The Whitehall Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the following events for May:

Wednesday, May 8 at 7:30 a.m. – Board of directors meeting in the chamber conference room. Network, problem solve and discuss business issues with fellow members.

Thursday, May 9 at 7:30 a.m. – Business forum: new time in the chamber conference room.

Friday, May 10 at 5 p.m. – 2013 WACC Annual Event: Raising The Bar at The Barristers' Club, 1114 W. Walnut St., Allentown. Awards presented for 2012 Business of the Year and 2012 Person of the Year.

Wednesday, May 15 at noon – Lunch and learn in the chamber conference room: "Active Shooter: Preparation & Response" presented by Dr. Diana Sorrentino, Lehigh Valley Paladin. Free. Just bring your lunch.

Saturday, May 18 at 7 p.m. – Steelhawks Tri-Chamber Game Night at Stabler Arena.

Monday, May 20 at 5:30 p.m. – Grumpy's BBQ Roadhouse mixer at 3000 Mauch Chunk Road.

Tuesday, May 21 at 4 p.m. – Residence Inn by Marriot ribbon cutting at 2180 Motel Drive, Bethlehem.

Wednesday, May 22 at 3:30 p.m. – "It's Not Just A Price: Doing Business With State Organizations" in the chamber conference room. Second in a series of six seminars preparing you for the "Meet The Buyers" event Oct. 22. The seminars are free, but reservations are required through the website: www.LVMeetthebuyers.com.

Thursday, May 23 at 1:30 p.m. – Welcome to Whitehall bags assembled in the chamber conference room.

Wednesday, May 29 at 3:30 p.m. – Outreach committee meeting in the chamber conference room.
