With league and district track meets coming up over the next two weeks, top teams from around the are met last Friday in one of the area's top invitational meets.
Three Northampton athletes earned medals for top three finishes at Friday's Allentown School District Invitational.
Allison Horn won two medals at the meet, held at J. Birney Crum Stadium. She took second place in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing in 16.04 seconds. She also placed third in triple jump at 36 feet and 2 1/4 inches.
Horn competed in four events as she finished 11th in the 100-meter dash and 12th in long jump.
Thrower Kori DeCesaris matched Horn's medal count, earning a second place in discus (144 feet) and third in shot put (50-0 1/4), while placing sixth in javelin at 154-0.
Distance runner Alex Lederer came in third in the 1600-meter run, finishing in 4:27.98. He also placed eighth in the 3200 in 10:10.3.
Several Northampton athletes placed in the top 10 in their events.
Girls thrower Hannah Marth took fifth place in the javelin with a throw of 107-3.
Jennifer Perry put in two top-10 runs. She placed seventh in the 1600 (5:21.46) and ninth in the 3200 (11:44.59).
Jarrett Fenon we eighth in shot put (46-1) and Josh Reightler took eighth in the 400-meter run in 51.59.
Northampton's boys 4x400 relay team placed eighth in 3:37.08.
After finishing the regular season this week, the Kids will move on to the LVC Championship Meet May 7-8, at Whitehall High School.
