Vehicles collide

Coplay police were dispatched April 27 to Second and Keefer streets for a report of a motor vehicle accident.

Police said the crash took place when a 2005 Ford Freestar operated by Mbalu Conteh, 37, of 175 Shiloh Court, Whitehall, was struck by a 2005 Toyota Camry driven by Carol Makovsky, 59, of 4321 Jay St., Whitehall.

Dumping of tires

Borough police on patrol Aril 22 observed someone dumping 15 tires.

The dumping took place at the foot of Bridge street, underneath the Coplay-Northampton Bridge, near the former General Supply Company, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the dumping incident to contact them.
