Arlene E. Texter, 87, of Salisbury Township, died April 28, 2013, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late Robert D. Texter. She was a homemaker. Born in Moosic, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Mary S. (Malone) Best.

She was a member of St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, (Summit Lawn), Allentown.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy L. Stephen of Bethlehem; sisters, Elaine and her husband Edmund Helffrich of Allentown, and Shirley and her husband Larry Linde of Allentown; brothers, Warren Best of Limeport, and Robert Best of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Matthew P. Rotundo and his wife Sarah of Bethlehem, and Amanda N. and her husband Dwight Robison of Hanover; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Ayden, Dylan and Noah. She was predeceased by a daughter, Robyn D. Texter-Kinek and a sister, Roberta Sweeney.

Contributions may be made in her memory to the church, 1024 S. Pike Ave., Allentown.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. May 1 in Grandview Mausoleum, 2735 Walbert Ave., Allentown. Arrangements were made by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown.
