Vickie A. Sweeney, died February 1, 2013, at home surrounded by loved ones in Spring, Texas, where she resided the last three years with her daughter and husband. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of Robert and Anna Hartranft.

She attended Allentown schools and Lehigh County Community College.

She worked for 20 years as manager of Save A Lot store then moved to Venice, Fla., working in the medical field before returning to Emmaus 13 years later then to Texas.

She is survived by her parents; daughter, Alexa and her husband Dave Whitaker, of Texas; sister, Cathy and her husband Greg Walden of Emmaus; brother, Robert M. Hartranft and his wife Traci of Lansdale; nieces, Sierra Swavely, Arden Hartranft; nephew, Ty Hartranft; special aunt, Sue Haverstock; grandchildren, Emily and Evan. She was predeceased by a son, Joey.
