Mary Theresa Segilia, 80, of Emmaus, died April 20, 2013, at her home. She was the wife of the late Russell N. Segilia who died Feb. 14, 2011. Born in Hazleton, she was a daughter of the late Ludwig and Mary (Rossi) Menghini.
She was a registered nurse for many years working in various hospitals and employed by Drs. Backenstoe and Kratzer in Emmaus.
She retired from Rodale Press where she was a supervisor of the Rodale Fulfillment Center.
She was a co-founder of The Way To Emmaus bookstore.
As a parishioner of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, she was very active as a member of the women's club and volunteered for many years at the church and St. Ann School.
She was a member of the Emmaus Historical Society.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy S. Choy, of Emmaus; granddaughter, Natalie and her husband Matthew Deitrich, of Hatfield; sister, Bernadette Menghini, of Millville, N.J.; brother, Ludwig Menghini Jr., of Hazleton; nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann School, 435 South 6th St., Emmaus, 18049. A Mass of Resurrection will be held noon Thursday, April 25 at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, 415 S. 6th St., Emmaus. Call Thursday 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Arrangements were made by the David J. Boyko Funeral Home, Macungie.
