Herman R. Klusaritz

Herman R. Klusaritz, 86, formerly of Emmaus, died April 12, 2013, in The Village at Willow Lane Senior Living, Macungie. He was the husband of the late Jean E. (Nicholas) Klusaritz. Born in Laurys Station, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Weinhofer) Klusaritz.

He was a salesman for the former Keebler Company for 38 years, earning the distinction of National Salesman of the Year before retiring in 1988.

Prior to moving to Spring Hill, Fla., he was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Lion's Club, the Masons, and a life member of the Mercantile Club of Emmaus. In addition, he was active with the Emmaus Youth Association in the 1950s and 1960s.

He was a member of the YMCA in Spring Hill, Fla., where he and his wife lived for 20 years.

He is survived by a son, Tom M. and his wife, Cynthia, of Allentown; daughter, Sally A. and her husband Jay Guerber, of Washington, D.C.; brothers, William, of Fullerton and John, of Montgomery County; sister, Stella Gall, of Egypt; grandchildren, Heather Klusaritz-Simpson, Michael and Megan, Emily and Peter Guerber; great-grandsons, Gabriel and Jacob Simpson.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. The Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
