Last year's electronic recycling day proved to be so well attended that this year Moore Township is moving the event to a bigger property.
The electronic recycling day will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Moore Elementary School.
Some of the items that can be dropped off that day are air conditioners, cell phones, computers, monitors, printers, computer accessories and small household appliances. Some televisions are okay but large rear projection TVs are not accepted. Batteries and large appliances are not accepted. The electronic recycling day is open to the public.

In other news, the township has hired a logger to remove dead trees left over from Hurricane Sandy from Appalachian Park and the Moore Township Recreation Center grounds. In keeping with its tradition of preservation, the county hired a logger who uses horses, which helps prevent land damage.
