Crash reported

Coplay Police responded Saturday to a report of a hit-and-run crash involving three vehicles in the unit block of North Third Street.

Although the driver left the area, police said officers found the vehicle in question, a red 2003 Oldsmobile, parked at Third and Center streets, two blocks from the accident.

Janadene Valo, 38, of North Third Street, Whitehall, was identified as the driver and taken into custody, police said.

Valo will be cited with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.

Police respond to noise complaint

Police on April 5 were summoned to 112 Coplay St. on a complaint of loud music.

The patrol officer said he spoke with the individuals responsible for the loud music. He said they complied with his request to turn the volume down, after which the officer left the premises.

Police called about open garage door

A call to police on April 2 reported an open garage door in the 900 block of Catherine Drive at Parkway West.

After finding no one home at the residence, officers secured the garage door, police said.

Police informed a neighbor of what had transpired, police said.
