William "Willie" S. Ifkovits, 84, of Northampton died March 20, 2013, in his home. He was the husband of the late Lorraine M. (Gronotsky) Ifkovits.
Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Frank and Ida (Panny) Ifkovits.
He was a painter and paper hanger for more than 50 years.
He was a social member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 454, Northampton. He was a member of the bowling leagues at the Northampton Liederkranz and the former St. Joseph Beneficial Society. He was active with the Boy Scout Troop 99 at Our Lady of Hungary Parish and was a committee member for many years.
He is survived by a daughter, Susan and her husband James Dougherty of Northampton, two sons, William S. Jr. and his wife Louise and Joseph, all of Northampton; four daughters, Margaret, Kathleen and her husband Ambrose Schock and Barbara, all of Northampton, and Mary Anne of North Catasauqua, a son, Michael and his wife Sally of Northampton; a daughter, Lori of Germantown, Md.; nine grandchildren, Scott, Thomas, Stacey, William, Samuel, Robert, Stephen, Riley and Alex; five great-grandchildren, Abigail, Samuel, Maura, Ryan and Nadia; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by his four brothers, Frank, Joseph, Edward and John, and three sisters, Theresa, Agnes and Anna.
