George R. Nederostek, 88, of Whitehall, died March 23, 2013, in his home. He was the husband of Elizabeth "Betty" (Drabick) Nederostek for 66 years.
Born in Cementon, he was a son of the late Jacob and Mary (Reznicki) Nederostek.
He was in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He worked at the Lafarge Cement Company, Whitehall, for 40 years.
He was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and an honorary member of the Young at Heart.
He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 454.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, George of Edmond, Okla., and Bernard and his wife Joann of Northampton; a daughter, Beverly and her husband Scott Bates of Villa Rica, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Kevin and his wife Tammy, Michele and her husband Stephen Reichel, Sarah, David, Mary, Matthew and Lauren; two great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Brian; and a sister, Elizabeth Strongowski of Egypt.
He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Legath; and five brothers, Jacob, Fred, William, Andy and Paul.
