How can a small business navigate through all the available hardware and software options and develop the right solution that won't break the bank? The Lehigh Valley Chapter of SCORE will offer the sixth in a series of free informal "Round Table" discussions on topics of interest to small business owners, this one focusing on developing an affordable IT strategy for your small business. It will be held 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Dunkin' Donuts, 3670 MacArthur Road, Whitehall. Blake Kleintop, a successful entrepreneur and currently the chief technology officer at MetroTek will facilitate the discussion. Round Tables are offered at no charge; however, advance registration is required. Old Zionsville UCC Church, 5981 Fountain Road, Old Zionsville, will have a family style all you can eat ham and dandelion dinner 4 to 7 p.m. Dinner includes dandelion with hot bacon dressing, ham, potatoes, green beans, applesauce, rolls, tea, coffee and dessert. Lehigh County TRIAD invites the public to attend their monthly meeting with guest speaker Pamela Pillsbury of the Pennsylvania Regional Community Policing Institute. Her topic will be human trafficking. This meeting is open to the public and is held at Emeritus of Allentown (behind the Knights of Columbus, Allentown). A free continental breakfast is served 8 a.m. followed by the guest speaker and business meeting at 8:30 a.m. No solicitations allowed. For further information, call 610-967-5454.

April 11

The Lehigh Valley Chapter of Executive Women International will hold its monthly meeting at the Blue Grill House, 4431 Pennsylvania Ave., Bethlehem. The board will meet 5:30 p.m. followed by a social time 6 p.m. and dinner at 6:15 p.m. The guest speaker is Mary Ellen Jackson, executive director of the Center for Humanistic Change. Jackson will be discussing the work done with elementary students in the Bethlehem Area School District.

April 14

Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 535 W. Emaus Ave. Allentown, will host a basket bingo featuring Longenberger, Vera Bradley, Pampered Chef and Thirty-One 12:30 p.m. Tickets are limited and there is a cost. All proceeds will go to the church youth group. For more information, call 610-797-4393.

The Emmaus-Upper Milford Environmental Advisory Council and Wildlands Conservancy will present the second of a four-part series of presentations about South Mountain 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford town hall, 5671 Chestnut Street. "Today's Landscape: Uses and Values: From Biking to Hiking, from Water to Biodiversity – Why We Need Balance" will provide a better understanding of the current values of South Mountain for recreation, wildlife habitat, water supplies, biodiversity and open space.

April 17

Emmaus Historical Society meeting on the Knauss Homestead, 7 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 5th and Chestnut streets, Emmaus. The presentation is on the history of one of the first families to settle here, taking part in founding and growing the community. The museum will be closed through April 13 for renovations. Sacred Heart Senior Living, 4851 Saucon Creek Road, Center Valley, will host a seminar on veteran benefits 6:30 p.m. Director of Veterans Affairs for Lehigh County Tom Dye will provide information on benefits veterans may be entitled to.

April 19

Lower Macungie Middle School will host their second annual Mini-Thon April 19. The event will benefit The Four Diamonds Fund for pediatric cancer. It will be a multi-hour dance marathon where students will seek donations to help families paying for medical treatment.

April 20

Old Zionsville UCC Church, 5981 Fountain Road, Old Zionsville, will host an all you can eat breakfast buffet 7 to 11 a.m. and bake sale. There will be a cost for guests six and over for breakfast. The public is welcome to attend. For information, call 610-966-5115.

Sacred Heart Senior Living, 4851 Saucon Creek Road, Center Valley, will host a program about the risk factors potentially leading to Alzheimer's disease or other related dementias. "Maintain Your Brain" will teach visitors how to live a brain healthy lifestyle with a review of certain diets, foods and exercises.

April 22

The GFWC Women's Club of Emmaus will be holding their monthly meeting 7 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 5th and Chestnut streets, Emmaus. The program will be "A Stroll Through Time" with speaker Faith Andrews presenting a fashion show of vintage outfits.

April 25

April 26

Soroptomist International of Emmaus Second Annual Designer Purse Bingo Bash will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, 139 N. 4th Street, Emmaus. The doors open 6 p.m.; bingo starts 7 p.m. Ticket price is discounted if purchased in advance. Food will be available for purchase during the event. May 19

"Why is My Dad Doing That?!" will teach about the causes of new and unusual behaviors including sundowning, wandering, hoarding, hallucinations, delusions, repetition, aggression and sleep issues.
