Helen M. Romano, 76, of North ampton, died March 11, 2013, at Fellowship Community, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late Frank D. Romano.

Born in Lehigh Township, she was a daughter of the late Alex and Anna (Konkolics) Zelinski.

She worked for the former DeeVille Blouse Company, Danielsville, and then owned Winmar Fashions, Danielsville. She also worked for many other textile companies during her 25-year career. She and her late husband owned and operated Romano's Riverside Inn, Northampton, from 1979 until their retirement in 1989.

She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryville.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen A. and her husband Thomas Young of Northampton and Sheila A. and her husband Richard Silfies of Danielsville; a stepdaughter, Susan L. and her husband James Randolph of Reistertown, Md.; two sisters, Margaret and her husband John Schell of Bird In Hand and Elizabeth and her husband William Wissinger of Garden City Park, N.Y.; a brother, Lawrence Zelinski of Roseto; her fiance and companion E. Thomas Raber of Northampton; four grandchildren, David and his wife Suzanne Young of Bethlehem, Jennifer and her husband Jamie Andrews of Walnutport, Iris Helene and her husband Kevin M. Kish of Philadelphia, and Ethan Frank Silfies of Danielsville; a stepgrandson, Gregory and his wife Eve Randolph of Medford, Ore.; and two great-granddaughters, Victoria and Rebecca.
