High School
Congratulations to Family, Career and Community Leaders of America winners: Brianna Nibbe, Regen Zimmerman, and Melissa Smith who won gold medals and first place for Chapter Service Display and a bid to the National FCCLA Conference in Nashville, Tenn.
Congratulations to Heather Berrier, representing Lehigh Career and Technical Institute, who won a gold medal for Pastry Arts Cake Decorating.
The Northwestern Lehigh High School Chapter of FCCLA also won a recognition award for 50-plus members.
Special congratulations to FCCLA members Regen Zimmerman, Melissa Smith, and Rachel Zimmerman for their participation in STAR events.
Middle School
Seventh-grade students at Northwestern Lehigh Middle School are creating and selling tie-dye T-shirts to raise money for Autism Speaks. Students will have the opportunity to learn about autism on April 15.
The culmination of their studies will be on April 20, when students being given the opportunity to participate in the "Walk Now for Autism Speaks" at Dorney Park.
The Middle School Spring Social will take place in the auditorium 7-9 p.m. April 12.
