George A. Geiger, 89, of Lakeville, formerly of Hokendauqua, died Feb. 18, 2013, in the Hospice Unit of Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was the husband of the late Emaline F. (Lynn) Geiger.

Born in Stiles, he was a son of the late George and Lillian (Grim) Geiger.

He was in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He worked for Mack Trucks Inc., first in the paint department, then in quality control. He was a security guard at Briar Hill, Lakeville.

He was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall.

He was a member of the Hokendauqua American Legion Post 739.

He is survived by two daughters, Linda L., widow of the late Dennis Wehr of Coplay and her children Wendy and Dennis, and Susan J. and her husband Frank Groller of Coplay and their children Garrett and Chad Groller; four great-grandchildren, Zachary and Emily Wehr and Kyla and Lydia Groller; and two sisters.
