Anna Catherine Tauber
Anna Catherine Tauber, 91, of Whitehall, died March 7, 2013, in Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Aloysius J. Tauber of Whitehall for 64 years.
Born in Fullerton, she was a daughter of the late Matthew J. and Rose A. (Biss) Pramik.
She attended St. John's Slovak School, Allentown, and Whitehall High School.
She was a sewing machine operator and sample maker for Julius Kayser and Company, Allentown.
She was a founding member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary R.C. Church, Whitehall, where she was a member of the choir, the Altar and Rosary Society, and a volunteer in the school.
She was a member of the St. Andrew's Jednota, North Catasauqua.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five sons, John J. of Whitehall, Joseph M. and his wife Kathryn Orndorff-Tauber of Harrison City, the Rev. Jerome A. of Hellertown, Matthew E. of Port Jefferson Station, N.Y., and Eugene P. of Whitehall; a son-in-law, John J. Yurish of Northampton; three grandchildren, Ann Marie Yurish and her husband Timothy Surovy of Whitehall, and Racheal A. and Joanna M. Tauber of Harrison City; a great-grandson, Joseph J. Surovy; four siblings, Margaret A. widow of William McHugh of Indian Land, N.C., John P. widower of Mildred Blew of Allentown, Rose M. widow of Ferdinand F. Tauber of Whitehall and William M. and his wife Patricia Pramik of Allentown; a brother-in-law, Daniel R. and his wife Helen Tauber of Matthews, N.C.; nieces; and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Annette Marie Yurish; and three brothers, Paul J. and his wife Anna Pramik of Whitehall, Edward M. and his wife Mary Pramik of Whitehall and Albert A. and his wife Charlotte Pramik of Schnecksville.
