Lois K. Gibson, 62, of Lenhartsville, died Feb. 28, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of William Gibson for more than 44 years.

Born in Hazelton, she was a daughter of Rae Phyllis (Pfeiffer) Carson of Bethlehem and the late David Carson Jr.

She earned a bachelor's degree from Moravian College, two master's degrees from Lehigh University, and a principal certification.

She taught for many years in the East Penn and Bethlehem Area school districts and for Wilke's University.

She was a former member of St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran church, where she had been the church organist for many years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son William Jr. and his wife Jeanette of Jim Thorpe; two daughters, Lora Ferguson of Post Falls, Idaho and Rebekah and her husband Barry Helverson of Lenhartsville; a brother, James and his wife Beverly Carson of Bethlehem; and five grandchildren.
