James R. Lynch, D.D.S., 61, died Feb. 27, 2013, in Fellowship Community, Whitehall. He was the husband of Mary L. (Raymond) Lynch for 25 years.

Born in Titusville, he was a son of William W. Lynch of Pittsburgh and the late Martha (Madden) Lynch.

He was a graduate of Titusville High School, the University of Pittsburgh and Temple Dental School.

He was a dentist in Orefield from 1990 until retiring in 2011 due to his illness.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, Whitehall, where he was an eucharistic minister and a member of the baptismal preparation team.

He was a cofounder of the annual spaghetti dinner for St. Elizabeth Regional School.

He was a member of The American, Pennsylvania and Lehigh Valley dental associations and Fullerton Fire Company No. 1.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by a son, Thomas; two daughters, Felicia, and Meredith and her husband Scott Matejicka and their son, Wyatt James; a brother, Mark and his wife Simone Lynch; a sister, Lois and her husband James Caputo; in-laws Mary and Felix Raymond; brothers-in-law and their families; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Brian.
