Gloria J. Deegan, 83, of Lehigh Township died Feb. 26, 2013, in Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Joseph Deegan for 56 years.

Born in Pennsville, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Florence (Roberts) Werner Shepard.

She was a 1947 graduate of Northampton High School and a 1951 graduate of the Allentown Hospital School of Nursing.

She was a registered nurse at the Allentown State Hospital, then Haff Hospital, where she was in charge of the alcohol and drug detox unit. She retired in 1991 from Muhlenberg Hospital Center as the director of the ambulatory surgical unit.

She was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton.

She was a life member of the AHSN Alumni Association and a den mother for Pack 99.

She is survived by a son, Thomas J. of Northampton; a daughter, Gloria A. and her husband Terry Reenock of Whitehall; three grandchildren, Corey Deegan and Brayden and Kelly Reenock; two step grandchildren, Courtney Bell and Barry Knoblach; a sister, Maryann and her husband Ronald Frommer of Lehigh Township; two brothers, Thomas and his wife Suzanne Werner of Coplay and Dale and his wife Margie Werner of Lehigh Township; two sisters-in-law, Carol Werner of Lehigh Township and Kathy Werner of Fla.; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Marion Ogrodoski; and two brothers, Glenn Sr. and Walter Werner Jr.
