William J. Heske, 77, of Hanover Township, died Feb. 26, 2013. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late John and Catherine (Koffel) Heske.He was the husband of Barbara A. (Black) Heske for 55 years.

He was a 1953 graduate of Liberty High School. He was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy.

He was in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a colonel after 26 years of service.

He was a member of Central Moravian Church, Bethlehem, where he was a sacristan, a former vice chairperson of elders and an usher.

He was a past president of the Bethlehem Area School District school board, where he served several terms.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kathryn H.and h er husband Ronald Domen and their children Laura and Michael; and a son, John D. and his wife Staci and their children, William, Mary, Sam and Jessica.
