Virginia L. Diehl, 89, formerly of Cetronia, died Feb. 25, 2013, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late David Diehl.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Sadie (Egolf) Barndt.

She was a licensed practical nurse at Cedarbrook County Home for seven years until she retired in 1986. Before that, she was a traveling L.P.N. in the Lehigh Valley and a nurse at Rittersville State Hospital.

She was a member of Cedar United Church of Christ, Cetronia.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith and her husband John Torrillo of Spring City and Sharon and her husband Donald Kuhns of Cresco; two sons, Lester Jr. and his wife Cheryl Zimmerman of Thompson and Barry Zimmerman and his wife Cindy of Wernersville; a sister, Edna Buki of Allentown; two brothers, Spurgeon Barndt of Steel City and Houston and his wife Thelma Barndt of Bethlehem; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by three brothers, George, Orrin and Leslie; and two grandsons, Shane and Sean Zimmerman.
