Martha H. Peterson, 88, of Bethlehem, died Feb. 23, 2013, at the Hospice House of St. Luke's. Born in Chicago, Ill., she was a daughter of the late Milton and Elsie (Phelps) Hendrie. She was the wife of the late Rehn C. Peterson.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem, where she was a deacon and an elder. At the church, she participated in the Koinonia group and the prayer group and was on many committees.
She volunteered at Kirkland Village, St. Luke's Hospital and the Miller Blood Bank.
She is survived by children, Lynn and her husband Dick Vermeulen of St. George, Maine; Kim and his wife Melissa of Danville, Calif.; and Rehn and his wife Holly of Austin, Texas; six grandchildren, Lissa, Rehn, Kipp, Brad, Kasey and Zach; and two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Andrew.
She was predeceased by a brother, Milton Hendrie; and a sister, Madge Beard.
