Lawrence G. Shea Sr., 85, of Fountain Hill, died Feb. 15, 2013. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Mary (Foster) Shea. He was the husband of Alma M. (Dapp) Shea.

He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years. He served during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

He retired from the Bethlehem Steel Corp., where he was a hydraulic engineer, in 1990 after 20 years.

He was a parishioner of St. Ursula Catholic Church and was a member of the Holy Name Society.

He was a member of the former Bethlehem Steel Club and of Silver Creek Country Club, the Fountain Hill Golden Hillers and the Goodfellows Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Lawrence G. Jr. and his wife Debbi of Bethlehem and Joseph and his wife Karen of Danielsville; two daughters, Mary and her husband John Majewski of Bethlehem Township and Anne Marie and her husband Skip John of Bethlehem and his son, Patrick, and his fiancé Kristin of Bend, Ore.; 12 grandchildren, Amber, Colin, Coleen, Sean, Stephen, Laura, Andrew, Kathryn, Maria, Skip, David and Amy; and eight great-grandchildren.
