Business owner and Plainfield Township resident Glenn A. Geissinger has announced his candidacy for a Republican seat on Northampton County Council.

Geissinger said in a statement he has lived most of his life in the LehighValley and has a common sense approach to issues facing the county, as well as 20 years' experience building, running and assisting businesses of all sizes.

Geissinger is an Army veteran and graduate of Whitehall HS and attended Lehigh University and Moravian College.

Active regionally in his church and locally as a Cub Scout den leader, Geissinger also serves on several arts councils and nonprofit boards.
