Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church's youth group is selling nut rolls March 1-10.

Nut rolls are from Country Cottage and come in nut, poppy, lekvar, apricot and raspberry varieties.

Also, save the date! The youth group's annual roast beef lunch will be held April 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Tickets will go on sale March 24.

A widows' and widowers' luncheon will be held at the Egypt Community Church, 4129 S. Church St., Whitehall, Monday, March 11, at 11:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall across the street from the church.

The event provides a time of fellowship and sharing memories of loved ones who have passed away. Just bring a bag lunch. Desserts and beverages will be provided. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The Laurel Fire Company is sponsoring a St. Patrick's Day Dance Saturday, March 9. The doors open at 5:30 p.m.

The ticket includes dinner which starts at 6:30 p.m. and dancing which begins at 8.

Mark your calendar for Laurel's Easter Ham Raffle on March 17 from 2-6 p.m.

Twenty hams will be given away, with many more raffles throughout the day.

Tickets may be purchased through the bar or by asking a member. Refreshments and one meal are included with the price of the ticket.
