Andrew C. Schwartz, 71, of Whitehall, died Feb. 9, 2013, at home.

Born in Stiles, he was a son of the late Andrew J. and Mary (Marx) Schwartz.

He was an assembler for the former Lucent Technologies, Allentown, for 40 years.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whitehall, and of its Holy Name Society.

He played for the 1960 Coplay American Legion state baseball champion team. He was a member of the West Coplay Mannerchor and the Coplay Saengerbund.

He is survived by a brother, David M. and his wife Ruthann, and a sister, Mary Harding, all of Whitehall; companion, Shirley Remaly, with whom he resided, and her son Josh; three nieces, Jenny, Julie and Amy; and a nephew, Brent.
