Police investigating armed robbery

Two men wearing black hooded sweatshirts, masks and gloves robbed the Knights Inn, 1880 Steelstone Road, Hanover Township, Lehigh County.

The incident took place Feb. 1 at 10:50 p.m. when the two men entered the lobby and pointed handguns at two victims, police said.

One of the men jumped over the lobby registration desk counter top and began searching through cabinets and drawers. The man stole an iPhone 3 and $427 from the cash register, police said.

The two men then demanded the two victims lay on the ground while they fled, said police.

The men are believed to have fled the area in a gray Volkswagen Jetta, police said.

Police are investigating.

Item stolen from motor vehicle

An iPod valued at $250 was stolen from a vehicle Jan. 27.

The theft took place sometime between 2 and 5 p.m. at Carmike Cinemas, 1700 Catasauqua Road, Hanover Township, Lehigh County.

Someone smashed out the right front window of a vehicle belonging to a Catasauqua resident, police said.

Park vandalized

Bicentennial Park in East Allen Township was recently vandalized.

An unknown individual drove a vehicle through the park at 11:14 a.m. Feb. 5, said police.

Police said the individual drove on the fields and spray painted the main entrance.
