Emi Gutgold, a senior at Northwestern Lehigh High School, has been selected to cheer and perform June 15 in the Big 33 Football Classic in Hershey.
The Big 33 Football Classic is an all-star game between the top high school players of Pennsylvania and Maryland.
To make the cheerleading team, Gutgold tried out against 90 other aspiring high school seniors in Hershey last month.
The Big 33 brings the best high school athletes together to compete.
No Super Bowl has been played without a Big 33 alumni.
Emi, who has been cheering since age 8 will also be featured in the national magazine American Cheerleader as an "Amazing Athlete" in the March-April, 2013 issue.
At Northwestern Lehigh High School, she serves as class president and a member of the National Honor Society, in addition to being captain of the cheerleading team.
Emi is the daughter of Geoffrey and Nichola Gutgold of Fogelsville.
She will study communication arts and sciences at Penn State University Park beginning fall 2013 and wants to continue cheerleading.
