MS, HS Happenings
There will be early dismissal Feb. 15. Middle school will be dismissed at 10:50 a.m.; high school at 11 a.m.
There will be no school Feb. 18 for Presidents Day.
High School
Congratulations to the following Lehigh Career and Technical Institute for achieving Student of the Month in December 2012: Shelby Delong for advertising design/commercial art level 1; Julie Dietrich for dental technology; Silas Egolf for electromechanical/mechatronics technology; Dylan Faust for heating/air conditioning and refrigeration; Kody Frey for gas engines/recreational vehicles; Matt Klembara for welding technology level 1; Andrea Miller for health occupations/health related technology; Austin Oldt for plumbing and heating; Trevor Rex for heavy equipment operations and preventative maintenance; Tessa Scherer for commercial photography/electronic imaging; Amanda Webster for marketing and business educations; Bryan Wessner for material handling/logistics technology.
Congratulations to the following NWLHS students who are 2013 Skills-USA District competition winners: Cody Dalrymple, first place precision machining technology; Heather Berrier, second place cake decorating; Tara Thorson, second place job skills demonstration open; and Austin Fenstermaker, third place precision machining technology.
Middle School
Northwestern Lehigh Middle School kicked off its annual Gertrude Hawk Fundraiser on Feb. 6.
The school will profit 50 percent of all sales.
The goal is to make $6,000. All proceeds will benefit student activities, such as field trips, assemblies, and team items and activities.
Order online through Gertrude Hawk and have the items shipped directly to your home.
Delivery will be during the week of March 11, just in time for Easter.
Each participating student will be entered into a drawing for raffle prizes ranging from Target gift cards to a Gertrude Hawk chocolate basket.
