Elementary News
There will be early dismissal for elementary students noon Feb. 15. There is afternoon kindergarten that day.
There will be no school Feb. 18 for the Presidents Day holiday.
Kathy Grim has started working with a large group of volunteers, United and Rebuild New Jersey, and has come up with a project, called Backpacks for the Beach, to help get the kids the things they need to help get back to school.
They are collecting gently used backpacks and planning to stuff them with rulers, pencils, pens, erasers, folders, notebooks, tablets, crayons, markers and any school item that will fit into a child's backpack.
They are targeting kindergarten through eighth grade students.
She will take the donations to either Seaside or Union Beach on Feb. 17.
If you are interested in helping out with this project contact Grim at kg1779@yahoo.com.
