Albert P. Gehret, 87, of Nazareth, died Jan.28, 2013, at Gracedale, Upper Nazareth Township.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Harvey Sr. and Ellen (Eyer) Gehret.

He was in the U.S Coast Guard during World War II.

He worked for Easton Buick for before retiring. Before that, he worked at the former City Service Station, Nazareth.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Northampton.

He was a past post commander of the American Legion Post 353, Northampton. He played in the post's drum and bugle corps.

He is survived by three sisters, Doris E. and her husband Ernest Keller of Nazareth, Joan and her husband William Clift of Easton, and Grace and her husband William Scale of Milwaukee, Wisc.; a sister-in-law, Anna Gehret of Nazareth; a brother, Harvey A. Jr. and his wife Barbara of Nazareth; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Marvin.
