Anthony P. Stanz, 97, of Coplay, died Jan. 23, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of the late Agnes H. (Geosits) Stanz for 61 years.

Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late Cornelius and Gizella (Csekits) Stanz.

He was in the U.S. Army during World War II and was in the military police.

He was a precious metals purchaser for the former Western Electric Company, Allentown, for 30 years. He was the proprietor of Tony's Hobby Shop, Coplay.

He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Coplay, and the former Knights of St. George.

He was a past treasurer of St. Elizabeth's Credit Union, Northampton.

He is survived by two sons, Anthony D. of Whitehall and Gerald S. with whom he resided; and a granddaughter, Jennifer and her husband Gregory Tefankjian of King of Prussia.

He was predeceased by five siblings, Stella, Mary, Charles, Frank and Cornelius.
