We have almost made it through the month of January and we are about one third of the way through winter.

Stay tuned for Feb. 2, when we find out Punxatawney Phil's prediction regarding an early spring or six more weeks of winter.

Although we have been fairly lucky with low amounts of snowfall thus far, surely many folks will hope Phil does not see his shadow so we have hope of an early spring.

Super Bowl parties are in the process of being planned. The big game, Super Bowl XLVII, will take place in New Orleans, La., on Sunday, Feb. 3.

Have a great time enjoying the big game, the half-time show and the commercials, too! Remember to choose a designated driver so everyone can be safe.
