Wayne Bloomberg, 66, of Northampton, died unexpectedly Jan. 8, 2013, in Pocono Medical Center. He was the husband of Danielle (Mihalko) Bloomberg for 40 years.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Everet and Lenore (Long) Bloomberg.

He was in the U.S. Army and was a lieutenant in Vietnam and a captain in the U.S. Army Reserve.

He earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Wilkes College.

He was a wage practice consultant at AT&T - Agere until he retired in 2003.

He was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Northampton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Inger and her husband Eugene Cierniak of Middletown, Del.; a son, Andrew of Allentown; two grandchildren, Jacob and Anders; a sister, Sandra Bloomberg Chardavoyne of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a brother-in-law, Michael and his wife Katherine Mihalko of Myerstown; a sister-in-law, Leona Mihalko of Stratford, Conn.; mother-in-law, Ann Kovatch of St. Clair; and two nieces, Andrea and Marisa Mihalko.
