In continuation of its Bob Warke Scholarship program, HPPA will again award two $1,000 scholarships. This year marks the 26th anniversary of the basketball tournament, the proceeds of which are used to fund the scholarship awards. The tournament will now be known as the Bob Warke-Dale Horn Basketball Tournament and it will be held at the Whitehall-Coplay Middle School from Feb. 23-March 3.

Contact Mike Frana at franman69@aol.com for information on the tournament.

To be eligible for the Warke scholarship, applicants must be members of the Class of 2013 continuing their educations in the fall of 2013. They must have participated in the organization's baseball, softball or basketball youth programs and must complete the scholarship application form and return it to the HPPA by Feb. 28.

Additional requirements are listed on the application and the HPPA website. The organization will review all of the applications and select one girl and one boy to receive the scholarship at our March/April meeting.
