June Hassler, 86, formerly of Catasauqua, died Dec. 22, 2012, at Emeritus Senior Living, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Hassler.

Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Kartje) Gemmel.

She was a Catasauqua High School graduate.

She owned and operated Hassler's Grocery Store, Catasauqua, for many years. She worked for Top Hat Tuxedo Rentals, Whitehall.

She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Catasauqua.

She is survived by two sons, Robert of Lansdale and Ronald and his wife Kathryn of Schnecksville; four grandchildren, Kristin Damore of Palmerton and Kaila, Olivia and Nicholas of Schnecksville; a brother, Sebastien Gemmel of Catasauqua; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by seven sisters; and three brothers.
